What is app localization?

App localization is the translation and adaptation of everything a user reads inside your app: buttons, menus, onboarding screens, error messages, notifications. Our app localization services start from the resource files your developers already use, so the translated text goes straight back into the build.

An app is harder to translate than a document. Strings arrive as a list of keys, out of order and without their screen, so a short word like "Save" could be a button or a discount. Plural rules change from one language to the next. And a placeholder such as %@ or {count} has to come back exactly as it was written, or your users see raw code where a number should be. Dates, prices and number formats also follow the conventions of each market, so they cannot be copied from the source language as they are.
