What do ecommerce translation services cover?
Ecommerce translation services cover the text a shopper reads from the first product page to the order confirmation email. That means product descriptions and category names, and also the cart, the checkout, the shipping and returns pages, and the emails your store sends after a purchase. We translate all of it from the files your platform exports, in more than 60 languages.
The work differs from translating a company website. A website has a few dozen pages of running text. A store has a catalog of hundreds or thousands of short entries built from the same attributes. A color or a material must be written the same way on every product. Otherwise the filters list it twice. Sizes and units need converting to what each market uses, and dates and prices follow the local format. A catalog also keeps changing, so you can send new products in batches after the first project.
A translation app will put a whole catalog into another language in a few minutes, and for some stores that is a reasonable start. Its weak points are known: brand and product names translated when they should stay as they are, sizes left unconverted, and descriptions that are correct sentence by sentence without sounding like a shop. Our ecommerce localization services come at two levels. In the first, the text is pre-translated by AI, then reviewed and localized by a native expert. In the second, a native linguist translates it from the start. Both are priced per word, and you choose when you order. The first suits large catalogs of short, factual entries such as specifications and variants. The second suits brand pages and promotional text, where tone sells the product.
Your store is followed by one project manager from the quote to the delivery. They keep the terminology list for your catalog and check each delivery against it. Every file is handled under NDA, which matters if you send us a range before it goes on sale.

Who translates your catalog
Every linguist in our network is a native speaker of the target language, with at least five years of professional experience, and passed a practical test before joining. They are assigned by specialty, so a catalog of cosmetics and a catalog of machine parts do not go to the same person. When a store is translated into several languages, each language has its own linguists and the project manager holds the terminology for all of them. You can also add a review by another native linguist when you order.
Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop exports
You do not need to copy anything into a document. Export the content from your store and send us the file: a CSV from Shopify, an XLIFF file from WordPress/WPML if your shop runs on WooCommerce, or an export from PrestaShop. Our Shopify translation services and our WooCommerce translation work the same way. Only the text is translated. Column names and HTML tags are left as they are, so the file can be imported back without being repaired first. If your team already manages translations in Crowdin, our linguists can work in your project there.
Keywords and meta tags adapted per market
Shoppers in another country often search for a product under a different word from its literal translation, so a page can be well translated and still get few visits from search. Send us the keywords you target and a native linguist chooses the wording used in that market, then translates the title tags and meta descriptions together with the page. Our ecommerce SEO translation stops there. Keyword research and rank tracking are the work of an SEO agency, and we do not offer them.
New products in the same wording
The terminology list of your store records how attributes and recurring phrases were translated, and your project manager checks every delivery against it. When you come back with new products, we keep the same linguist whenever possible. You can also start small, with one range or one market, and add the rest later without the wording drifting.
